“Don’t Have 20 Minutes for This Sh*t”: Mayor Lightfoot Backs Decision to Cancel Part of Ceremony for Fallen Female Officer

Last week, 29-year old Chicago police officer Ella French was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop over the weekend. The tragic death comes as tensions between Democrat leaders and police officers are at an all time high.

When an officer is killed in the line of duty, it is standard procedure to pay tribute to the officer with an honor guard marching to the sound of bagpipes.

According to Deputy Police Superintendent Eric Carter, however, he doesn’t have time “for that sh*t.” Instead of giving French a proper goodbye, Carter sent French’s body straight to the Medical Examiner’s office to be laid to rest without the traditional ceremony.
