Selective Service Is Hinting Draft Could Be Coming Soon
The Selective Service sent out an alarming tweet this week that has many users on Twitter speculating that a US Draft will occur in the near future.
The tweet from the Selective Service that has many young men alarmed stated “In the event of a draft, our agency would partner with FEMA to provide opportunities to conscientious objectors to ensure our nation keeps moving forward”.

Now that the Ukraine-Russia war is starting to get even bloodier, talks about a draft have been swirling around like never before.
The last time the US issued the draft was during the Vietnam War which ended up taking the lives of over 58,000 Americans the majority of which were drafted.

While there is currently no draft, registration with the Selective Service System is the most publicly visible program during peacetime that ensures operational readiness in a fair and equitable manner. If authorized by the President and Congress, our Agency would rapidly provide personnel to the Department of Defense while at the same time providing an Alternative Service Program for conscientious objectors.
Federal Law requires nearly all-male US citizens and male immigrants, 18 through 25, register with Selective Service.

Most states automatically register males 18-25 years into the Selective Service database when they register for their driver’s license.
