WASHINGTON (TND) — A Southwest Airlines pilot threatened to turn a plane around and return to the gate if passengers didn’t stop sending unsolicited nude photos to each other.
Chronicled on TikTok by user Teighlor Marsalis, the pilot tells passengers he will return the plane to the airline gate and contact security if they did not stop AirDropping the photos.
“So, here’s the deal. If this continues while we’re on the ground, I’m going to have to pull back to the gate, everybody’s going to have to get off, we’re going to have to get security involved, and your vacation is going to be ruined,” the pilot said.
“Whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures. Let’s get yourself to Cabo,” the pilot continued.
According to Insider, the incident took place before the plane took off and started when a passenger received a nude image. The passenger complained to a flight attendant which then lead to the pilot addressing the plane as a whole. Marsalis told Insider that she thought the pilot handled the incident “perfectly” and that she also received a request for the AirDrop but denied it.
“When made aware of a potential problem, our employees address issues to support the comfort of those traveling with us,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement to Insider.
